Dave Booth
I’m originally from a small town in Western NY called Cattaraugus. After moving around all over the Northeast, my family settled in Richmond in 1982. I’ve called that home ever since.
I’ve been married to Jennifer Sutton Booth for twenty-five years. We have a daughter, Maggie, who just received her Masters in Education from JMU. We lost our youngest, Nicholas, in a car accident in April of 2023. He lives on in us and in all those whom he touched with his kindness and infectious smile.
I’ve been in food service for over thirty years, starting in college. After graduating from VCU in 1995, I attended the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, NY. I’ve worked at several Richmond institutions including the Frog and the Redneck, Acacia and the Yellow Umbrella.
I really enjoy making people happy, whether it’s by creating delicious food, teaching a new technique, or just going out of my way to do something nice. Food is a passion and working with high quality ingredients and people who care makes all the difference in the world.
Plentiful Foods is a special place. The way that the team truly cares about their clients and each other makes them unique in a business that can often be callous. The words “love” and “family” are often used in this industry, but at Plentiful they really mean the same thing. I appreciate everyone on the team, and I know they appreciate me.
Annhorner’s thoughtfulness and attention to detail are unmatched. When she says we have the best clients, she truly means it and works extra hard to make sure that each event goes smoothly.
Fun Fact:
I’ve taught at the college and high school levels, and continue to teach adult cooking classes in the area.
